Start monitoring your devices using OpManager On-Demand in just four steps:

Prerequisite

Sign up for an account with ManageEngine On-Demand

In case you do not have an account with ManageEngine On-Demand Sign Up . This consists of two successive steps. Follow the steps as detailed in the sign up window.

Add Customer

Create entries for customers to define ownership for data

If you are a Managed Service provider (MSP), you need to create entries for your customers. This is to define ownership for the data added into the application. If you are managing multiple customers, you need to create an entry for each customer. You can add customers from Admin » Customers. If you are not an MSP, skip this step.

Download & Install probe

Install probe for device discovery

The remote probe is a light-weight executable that scans the network and discovers the devices that are to be monitored. Probe communicates with the OpManager On-Demand central server and transmits the data pertaining to the devices through a secure communication channel. Probe can be downloaded and installed from Admin » Probe. Refer to probe installation and startup procedure for details.

Discover Devices & Start Monitoring

Create inventory and commence monitoring

You can initiate an automatic discovery of devices from Admin » Discover Devices view by providing Hostname or IP or Network Range. Choose the respective customer, probe and provide the credentials. After discovering the devices, you are all set to monitor the devices.
