Configuring Notifications

Now that you have the devices discovered, the next step is setting up notifications..

When ever an alarm is generated or cleared, an email will be sent to the owner of the device.

To assign an owner in bulk, go to "All Devices" view (via Drop-down menu, Devices > Complete Listing - Devices ) and choose the devices for which you want notifications to be configured and from the Actions menu, choose "Change Owner". 

Select the owner, who will receive notifications. This can be a user or a customized user-group. Apply the changes.

Now the owner setting will be updated for all selected devices and its inner components (interfaces, services, hard-disks, memory and CPU).

When ever an alarm is generated or cleared, an email will be sent to the owner of the device.

If you want to receive notifications only when the problem occurs (and not when it gets cleared), change the Notifications property of the device (either in the details page or in bulk from the list page by invoking Actions > "Edit Notifications" ).
