To modify device type:
Log in to the ServiceDesk Plus application using your user name and password.
Click the Assets tab in the header pane. This opens the assets home page.
Click IT Assets under Resources block on the left hand side of the page. Select the Workstations link. This opens the workstation list view page.
Click the Workstation Name to be modified of the device type. This opens the Workstation details page.
Click the Actions menu on the right hand side of the page. Select Modify Type option. This opens the modify device type pop up window.
Select the device type from the Modify Type combo box.
Save the details.
